It's A

GIRL!

I'm proud that I handled myself well today. I didn't allow myself to get so worked up that my stomach was in knots. Surprisingly, I wasn't nervous at all. The planner in me was just ready for confirmation. Not to say I wouldn't have been shocked if they said boy, but with my baby boy in the room I sure didn't want to make a big deal either way.

Most of the night I have just felt relief. As some of you know, I had charted my temperature and followed Dr. Shettles method even though there is great debate on its effectiveness. I've known a few people from C-town and my neighborhood who have had success with the outcome. I figured it was worth a shot to do all I could on my end to aim for a girl and it would be totally ok if we ended up with another boy. Adam told me it was hogwash and I understand how someone like him would feel that way. However, I still went right ahead with my method and kept it to myself! Who knows...we may have had a girl anyway, but regardless I would always know that I had tried my very hardest...short of mixing it up in a bowl!

I think Adam too feels a lot of relief. He's hoping I'll close up shop with one of each now too!

As my mother said tonight, "let the shopping begin!"
